Hammer pads (sometimes referred to as pile cushions) are used in pile driving applications, sitting between the head of the pile and the ram of the driver. The hammer pad is designed to cushion the blow of the hammer and minimise damage to the pile head. Various materials can be used for this application, but Polyurethane provides the most cost effective, hardest wearing and long lasting protection to the pile head.
Polyurethane is an ideal material of choice for making parts traditionally manufactured in rubber, plastic or metal.
Over the last 45 years we’ve produced polyurethane products for every conceivable industry and in countless applications. The knowledge and experience that we have gained over the years, across a wide range of projects has provided our design team with unique skills and experience enabling us to navigate current and future industry expectations.
Whatever you need and whatever industry you’re in then we can help.
Our Polyurethane Materials Laboratory has the capability to modify and reformulate our polymer systems to suit your application or environment. Our Material Testing equipment enables us to mechanically, chemically and environmentally test the properties of pre-prototypes to internationally recognised ISO standards.
Our unique rolling road equipment, which is the largest of its kind in Europe, allows us to test the dynamic properties of trial wheel or tyre products as part of the R&D process.
Our Innovations team welcomes the opportunity to work with you to create a product that adds value to your business.
