Meet Paul Grindle…
How long have you worked at Watts Urethane?
I have been working at Watts Urethane for 36 years now. I’ve always enjoyed working here and seeing the company evolve and change over the years. I’ve always found it very interesting work, especially with all the different products we make. Most of all I enjoy the team I work with and I love the variety of every day being different and the challenges we overcome for our customers.
How has your job changed over the years?
When I first started working here I worked in the shot blasting department, shot blasting wheel centres ready for production. I then moved on to become Production Supervisor for a while and now I’m the Production Manager.
What would you say to someone thinking of working here?
If someone told me they were thinking of working for Watts I’d say to go for it. It’s a great company to work for. I’m really passionate about what I do here and I love working here.
What do you like about living and working in the Forest of Dean?
I think the Forest of Dean is a fantastic area to live in, and to work in. I’ve lived here all my life and I’ve always enjoyed this way of life.
What are your passions?
What I really like doing outside of work is fishing. That’s my real passion and my only hobby. It’s what I love to spend my free time doing.
